Driven by a textile-led approach, A Handcrafted Place is a luxury womenswear resort collection that focuses on the connections between place and handcraftsmanship, explored through processes of drawn thread needlework, hand weaving on a loom, and draping with vintage tablecloths. This collection has been awarded the Australian Wool Education Trust (AWET) sponsorship, allowing for various shades of white and blue merino wool to capture the essence of place, the Greek island landscape. Slow processes of making embody how traditional textile techniques unique to Greek culture can be maintained and kept alive in a contemporary fashion context.
