‘LILU’, utilises futuring design, inspired by Luc Besson’s, ‘The Fifth Element’. Utilising the protagonist, Leeloo Dallas as my muse, I reimagine the way we relate to our garments, aiming to break away from traditional categorisations through deconstruction and reconstruction of fashion archetypes and tropes. The garments utilise multifunctional elements in combination with futuristic forms and shapes to transcend our time and place.
